If you have a chance to visit "Paramount Ranch" in Agoura Hills, I highly recommend it. It was such a fun little western town with lots of places to hike. It was like stepping back in time. So many stars have shot films here. Just to name a few of the greats: John Wayne, Gary Cooper, Cary Grant, Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Kirk Douglas and so many more.
Being a Dr. Quinn fan, it was fun for me to explore and find all the buildings from the show. Here are a few that I found:
In this shot below, the General Store is behind me and to the left is Jake's Barber Shop.
Here, I am standing on the Telegraph office steps in the beginning seasons which became Dorothy's Gazette in later seasons.
This was a fun shot for me, because this bridge was shown in the opening credits with Jane Seymour running accross. And for you Dr. Quinn fans, it is also the bridge where Jane Seymour fell in the mud during the pilot.
This next shot is my favorite, because this is the door to Dr. Quinn's clinic. And its the original door and handle to boot! There were many changes to the town after Dr. Quinn, but this door stayed original.
The shawl I am wearing was actually inspired by Dr. Quinn, but that will be for another post. :)
